Last month, when I'd gotten fed up with 870's problems, I went to the affiliate search page at espnradio.com and KJAC showed up for both NoCo and Cheyenne.

RIP Jack FM
It's sad to hear about the passing of another Denver radio station. I liked Jack FM, have a couple of t-shirts and memories of winning an office party from them.

Interesting... the next time anyone sees something like that, post it here since most likely it will happen.

It looks like when KDSP is carrying a game that a station in Cheyenne is carrying, KJAC will be carrying something else. I just tuned in to find that KDSP is carrying the Wyoming game and KJAC is carrying the national ESPN radio feed of the Florida game.

It's sad to see Jack go for a sports format, but good luck to them.

KJAC Makes Its First Solo Flight
KJAC 105.5 had its first sporting event of its own broadcast on Sunday afternoon, 9 September, with the 2:05pm Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals NFL game from SportsUSA Radio. KDSP 102.3 had ESPN Radio and local programming during this time slot. Both stations simulcast the earlier SportsUSA Radio broadcast of the NFL contest that started at 11am, the New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans. KDSP did not opt for a co-broadcast of the later game due to a possible conflict developing with their ESPN Radio commitment at 6pm of the Sunday Night Baseball game between the Detroit Tigers and Anaheim Angels. By the way, with the Denver Broncos playing in the evening, all six national radio broadcasts (Dial Global, SportsUSA Radio, and Compass Media Radio) were on the air in the Denver metro this Sunday: two each on KKFN 104.3 and KEPN 1600, as well as the ones on KDSP/KJAC. We should get six again next Sunday with Denver playing on Monday night, as well as on Sundays 14 October, 28 October, and 9 December. If this Denver club meets expectations, one other Sunday may have a full slate of the six national radio broadcasts later in the year when the NFL starts the flex portion of their Sunday night schedule. That could be the Sunday finale of this season on 30 December, if the Kansas City Chiefs have shown up by then.

They will be running KDSP and KJAC as 2 separate stations. They have different commercials and unique station IDs. They will be simulcasting SOME programming (like their local shows) but expect different events on each one at certain times.

They would have to, it's illegal for any station to apparently simulcast these days, without some kind of special permission from the FCC.
So they would have to have their own programming.

It's legal for them to simulcast or do whatever programming they want. The FCC only cares that you have the proper station ID's at the top of the hour.
