The COLORADO BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION hosted its annual AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE GALA, to recognize the state's best broadcasters in radio and television for the previous year at the DENVER MARRIOTT TECH CENTER on SATURDAY night (MARCH 11th).

This year, the CBA took in a record 1,134 entries (557 in radio).
The Honorable NAB President/.CEO GORDON SMITH joined in as special guest and keynote speaker.

The CBA recognizes STATIONS OF THE YEAR with a point system that determines winners in
each market, based on the number of AWARDS (first place) and CERTIFICATES (second place) won by each station. The 2016 “Stations of the Year” were as follows.
In RADIO, the winners were as follows:

MEDIUM MARKET: BEACON BROADCASTING Country KVAY (YOUR VALLEY COUNTRY 105.7)/LAMAR, CO
MAJOR MARKET: tOWNSQUARE MEDIA Country KUAD.FORT COLLINS, CO
METRO DENVER: iHEARTMEDIA Rock KRFX (103.5 THE FOX)/DENVER, CO
