The KIQN "Kickin Country"presentation has been moved from KFVR 94.7 Beulah and its 93.9 translator in Pueblo to the signal of 103.3 KJQY Colorado City. On 93.9 and 94.7, what sounded like urban leaning music as the Buzz. Only listened for a few minutes, so apologies for lack of detail.

Thanks for the updates! I can't pickup SOCO's signals and it seems like they have been changing a lot over the last year... keep us updated!

As I tuned in to 103.3 it seems like 103.3 is ESPN radio.

Funny you should say that, as in the 4 pm hour I heard 101.3 with ESPN Radio in Pueblo. 103.3 in Colorado City/Pueblo is KiQ'N Country. I thought that 101.3 was running Radio Shopping Show during the mid day hours, but ESPN Radio later in the afternoon is a first.

SoCo Radio has made multiple format changes at their stations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo under new General Manager “Sports Guy” Mike Luper.
Country “KIQ’N Country” moved from 94.7 KFVR Beulah and 93.9 K230BB Fowler to 103.3 KJQY Colorado City replacing its Soft AC programming.
That makes room on 94.7/93.9 for Classic Hip-Hop “The Beat“.
Shopping “The Bargain Channel” 101.3 KFEZ Walsenburg flips to Sports “ESPN The Rock“.
Party Hits “Tailgate 98” 1040 KCBR Monument/98.5 K253AH Colorado Springs shifted to Oldies “Cruisin’ 98.5“.
That move pairs KCBR with the identical brand heard in Pueblo on 690 KWRP/100.3 K262BB.

Is Mike Knar still heading up the SOCO Radio ownership group?
I'm a little perplexed by the lack of cross-promotion prior to the format swaps of KIQN from 93.9/94.7 to 103.3. I'm not a huge consumer of radio these days, so maybe I missed the period where 93.9/94.7 would have gone into "barker channel" mode announcing the move of KIQN to 103.3. Anyone have a better date of when the flip occurred?

I am confused.. If you search for KIQN, it goes to the website but on the website it states it is still on 93.9, and KFEZ still as their old site up? Even Radio-locator.com has KFEZ going to the same site.
So I am puzzled on this switch and all? Makes no sense what so ever!
101.3 if they are sports, why did they call it ESPN THE ROCK? Kinda of a dumb name to call a station.. Espn ROCK?

These dates may not be exact. According to Facebook posts announcing the changes, 101.3 flipped to ESPN on August 14 or 15. Kiq'n Country moved to 103.3 around August 24.
I wanted to ask a weekend co-worker (who works weekdays for SoCo) about the changes, but he's on vacation.

Okay. I asked my co-worker about the switch. Mike Knar is still at the helm. He said 101.3 FM will (at least for now) continue airing the entire Radio Shopping Show, with the last two hours (1-3 PM) simulcast on KCEG 780.
A Tweet from "Sports Guy Mike" said the switch to ESPN was on August 10th.
