What’s that? You haven’t sprung for cable TV but you’ve heard about the zombie thriller that’s eating up the ratings, and you want to get hooked? No cable, no problem. Reruns of AMC’s top-rated zombie hit “The Walking Dead” will appear on MyNetworkTV this fall. In Denver, that means Gannett’s KTVD Channel 20 (http://www.ktvd.com/).
Mark Cornetta, general manager of KUSA and sister station KTVD, confirmed that back-to-back episodes of AMC’s blockbuster series will air one night a week in primetime starting in the fall. He said the schedule has not yet been set.
Now at the end of its fourth season, “The Walking Dead” is an anomaly in this era of shrinking audiences. It has emerged as TV’s top-rated program among adults 18-49, beating all competition, on broadcast as well as cable.
