View Full Version : Hoppy Kercheval Retires From West Virginia's Talkline

Kercheval has been part of the company since 1976 and has hosted Talkline since its launch in 1993. He served as News Director of the company’s Metronews (https://wvmetronews.com) network from its launch and has been Vice President of Operations since 1991. He will continue in his other roles including anchoring a weekly commentaries, making guest appearances on Talkline, coaching news and sports personnel, working on special projects and continuing to contribute to the ?3 Guys Before the Game? podcast.
WVRC Media President/CEO George Pelletier said, “With this announcement, Hoppy has decided to reduce his role at WVRC Media and ?Talkline. He has been a fixture in West Viginia?s media for 49 years. His commitment to doing things right as well as his uncanny ability to ask the important questions, is what makes him and Talkline so trusted and popular.?
Taking over as hosts of Talkline will be the duo of Dave Wilson and TJ Meadows.
Wilson is based in Morgantown and hosts ?Talk of the Town? from 9-10am on 1440 WAJR (https://wajr.com). He also provides high school sports play-by-play and is part of the Marshall University Sports Network. The WCHS Charleston WV based Meadows was previously director of federal policy for American Electric Power and has guest-hosted Talkline in the past
