Afternoon host Brian Wilson will retire from the station at the end of the year moving into a Host At-Large role. Wilson originally joined WWTN (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/136399/former-wmal-host-brian-wilson-takes-mornings-wwtn-nashville/) in 2018 as morning host after a long career in Washington DC that included six years in mornings at Cumulus’ 105.9 WMAL, two terms at Fox?s WTTG-TV Washington DC where he co-anchored their morning news, and as senior correspondent and anchor for Fox News Channel.

Prior to joining WWTN in December 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/215897/matt-murphy-departing-talk-99-5-birmingham-to-join-wwtn-nashville/), Murphy was PD/morning host at Cumulus’ “Talk 99.5” WZRR Birmingham from 2007-2021 and also worked in Birmingham at 101.1 WYDE-FM and in Montgomery AL.

Benson, who also hosts Radio America’s syndicated “Chad Benson Show (https://www.radioamerica.com/program/the-chad-benson-show/)“, has been hosting a local 12-3pm show for Audacy News 1080 KRLD (https://www.audacy.com/krld) Dallas since June (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/272500/krld-breaks-up-news-blocks-with-addition-of-chad-benson-show/). Benson had previously been pulling double-duty at Bonneville?s 92.3 KTAR-FM Phoenix co-hosting afternoons until January in addition to his syndicated show, which is fed daily from 9am-12pm eastern and again from 6-9pm. He has previously hosted shows at the UK?s ?talkRadio?, KNWS Palm Springs, and KTSA San Antonio and was Executive Producer of the ?Robert W. Morgan? show at Oldies KRTH Los Angeles in the 1990s, while also voicing multiple cartoon characters.

Jones co-anchored mornings at Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC from 2013 until 2022 after a career that included time at Wall Street Journal Radio Network and multiple Philadelphia stations including morning co-host at AC ?B101? WBEB and stints at WPEN, WPHT, and WWDB.
Current morning news anchor Ken Weaver will remain with the station anchoring newscasts from 11am to 7pm.
