As first reported by Northpine (https://northpine.com/2024/11/22/muskie-country-returns-as-civic-buys-two-more-in-northern-wis/), WHSM-FM has dropped its two month old (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/280887/cabin-grows-in-northwest-wisconsin/) Variety Hits “101.1 The Cabin” brand and has returned to its former Country “Musky 101 (https://whsm.com)” identity. The deal also includes WHSM-FM’s tower site.
96.9 W245CT, which had been home of “The Cabin” until it moved to 101.1 in early September, is now simulcasting Liberal Talk “Buzz of the North (https://buzzofthenorth.com)” 910 WBZH Hayward. The deal reunites the AM and FM as Civic Media previously acquired 910 as part of a three station deal with Zoe in September 2022 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/241855/civic-media-acquires-western-wisconsin-trio/).
