KEEZ-FM has also moved back to CHR utilizing Westwood One’s 24/7 service. The station had previously been “Z99” from the 1980s until Halloween 2018 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/171686/z99-mankato-stunting/). The station was one of the many small market Alpha Media stations to lose all of its local staffers in the company’s cuts earlier this year (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/269522/alpha-media-continues-to-purge-programming-on-air-staffs-in-midwest-markets/).
The move to CHR places KEEZ-FM in direct format competition with Subarctic Media’s “Hot 96.7 (https://radiomankato.com/kdog/)” KDOG North Mankato.
