Freeman joined the station in 1990 where he was part of the show led by Jim Denny until Denny’s retirement (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/260144/jim-denny-to-retire-from-mornings-at-wfms-after-35-years-with-the-station/) at the end of last year. He had most recently been teamed with Matt Malone, who moved from afternoons (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/262896/wfms-debuts-indys-morning-show-with-deb-kevin-matt/) to succeed Denny in January, and Deb Honeycutt, who has been with the morning show since 2000. Freeman also hosted overnights on Westwood One’s Classic Country network.
