The deal includes a $65,000 Economic Development Grant to the company to bring a minimum of ten jobs to Taylor. KRXT will bring many of the former (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/270901/bob-cole-eric-raines-exit-koke-fm-with-online-move/) 99.3/98.5 KOKE-FM Austin on-air staffers to the station including morning hosts Bob Cole and Eric Raines, midday host Deena Blake plus Jay Davis, Jimmy Carter, and Michael Craig. Cole, Raines, and Blake will also continue to be heard on Audacy’s “95.9 Texas Country (https://www.audacy.com/959texascountry)” K240EL/KKMJ-HD3 Austin.
Taylor Economic Development Corporation Chairperson Betty Day commented, “The addition of KRXT to Taylor is exciting. Being able to broadcast local news and highlight Taylor to the entire Austin MSA through 98.5 FM, shows that Taylor is truly becoming the major hub for business in Central Texas.”
