WCI President/CEO Tom Woodward states, ? We are pleased to announce that today we successfully consummated the acquisition of Neuhoff Media’s radio stations and brands based in Springfield and Bloomington, IL. Over the past couple of months we have gotten to know each other better, shared ideas, aspirations, etc. which in turn has created positive momentum and energy on which we can enhance our capabilities to serve our customers and communities.”
The closing of the deal also marks the end of Neuhoff Media. At its peak Neuhoff owned 24 stations in Illinois and Indiana. The company announced its plans to exit radio earlier this year selling Danville and Decatur IL to Champaign Multimedia Group (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/264368/neuhoff-media-sells-danville-intends-to-sell-remainder-of-radio-holdings/) and its Lafayette IN stations to Saga Communications (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/264748/saga-acquires-neuhoff-media-lafayette-in/).
