Testa will be joined by Melissa Moore, who departed middays (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/281360/kosi-looking-for-new-host-as-melissa-moore-exits/) at Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI earlier this month. The new ?Dom in the Morning with Melissa Moore? will debut on Monday, October 7 succeeding Winston & Mel, who are exiting.
Testa began his career at KFMN Abilene TX. He arrived in Denver in 1986 and spent six years at “Y108” KRXY before joining then AC “Majic 100” KMJI in January 1993. He would remain through its flip to 1970s Hits “Kim 100” KIMN and gradual evolution to Hot AC, teamed for the past decade with Jeremy Padgett. His “Mindbender” segment will move with him to KXKL.
Testa said, “?Leaving Mix 100 after more than three decades is obviously bittersweet. But hosting the morning show at a heritage station like Kool 105, especially with a radio pro like Melissa, is a remarkable honor and privilege I couldn?t pass up.?

She previously served as morning co-host and news director at KOSI from 1997 to 2000. She also spent five years as midday host at Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO from 2013-18 before moving over to KOSI. Moore has also worked as morning co-host at Country ?K92? WWKA Orlando and Hot AC ?KS 95? KSTP-FM Minneapolis and hosted afternoons on the ?Way-FM? Christian AC network.
Moore commented, ?Dom and I worked together in the 1990s, and the chance to reunite actually has me excited to get up at 4 a.m. I can?t wait for listeners to share that excitement and energy with us.?
KSE Media SVP/GM Dave Fleck added, “We?re excited to bring this remarkable award-winning team to Kool. Dom is a Denver radio legend. Having the chance to pair him with Melissa is going to revitalize mornings on Kool 105. We believe it will be must-listen radio.?
Kris Winston and Melanie Rutledge depart after nine years in morning as KXKL. Winston is best known for his long run in San Antonio where he programmed and hosted mornings at Classic Rock 104.5 KZEP from 1984 to 2000 followed by a decade in mornings at Country “Y100” KCYY. Rutledge previously served as Promotions Director for Lotus Broadcasting and Clear Channel in Bakersfield, CA.
A new morning show for KIMN will be announced shortly, although Testa noted that Padgett and producer Josh Griesemer will remain part of it.
