The station will become the company’s second Talk brand joining 790 WNIS Norfolk. Its lineup will be anchored by a local morning show hosted by Kerry Dougherty & Mike Imprevento 6-9am. The duo currently host 9-10am on WNIS. The remainder of the lineup will feature syndicated programs including Premiere Networks’ Glenn Beck Show from 9am-12pm, Westwood One’s Dan Bongino from 12-3pm, Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson from 3-6pm, and Premiere Networks trio of Jesse Kelly from 6-9pm, Michael Berry 9-11pm, and Our American Stories 11pm-1am. Red Apple Media’s Other Side of Midnight with Frank Morano will round out the lineup in overnights.
The move eliminates the resurrection of the “Coast” AAA brand that returned in March 2023 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/250001/the-coast-returns-to-norfolk-with-aaa/) after being utilized in the market on the company?s 93.7 WKOC from 1991 to 2003. It follows sister company Waterloo Media moving AAA “Austin City Limits Radio (https://www.acl-radio.com)” to HD and streaming only (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/279578/waterloo-media-makes-multiple-format-moves-in-austin/) last week.
