The station is carrying Univision’s “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo” from 7am to 1pm and “El Free Guey” from 4-9pm. The “El Jefe” branding comes from the WBSS call letters as ‘jefe’ translates to ‘boss’. The calls were best known in the market on CHR “Boss 97” in the early 1990s.
