Flores previously served as APD of KERN and will continue to produce the station’s afternoon show hosted by Ralph Bailey. He succeeds Michael Hopper, who exited in July.
Bob Lewis, American General Media Regional Director of Operations and Programming for Albuquerque and Bakersfield, commented, “JR is a dynamic talent and has demonstrated superior strategic sensibilities guiding KERN Radio for us. Giving PD stripes to JR is well deserved and adding his skills to ESPN Bakersfield will only make our brands more successful for our listeners and clients.
