https://i0.wp.com/radioinsight.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/flo1071-1-200x200.jpg?resize=200%2C200&ssl=1After being forced to drop its “Kingdom 107.1” branding shortly after it launched (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/267767/kfco-denver-drops-its-kingdom-name/) in April after a trademark claim, Pillar Media has rebranded Christian Hip Hop 107.1 KFCO Bennett/Denver CO as “Flo 107.1 (https://flodenver.com)“.
If the name sounds familiar it is because it is the fourth iteration of the “Flo” branding on the frequency in the past decade. Under Max Media ownership, the station first took on the “Flo 107.1” moniker in January 2015 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/91319/kxde-denver-flys-to-classic-hip-hop/) a few weeks after flipping to Classic Hip Hop first as “Fly 107.1“. The station would retain the name when it flipped to Rhythmic CHR in June 2018 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/169184/flo-107-1-denver-completes-shift-to-rhythmic-chr/). After flipping to CHR “Hot 107.1” in May 2020 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/187643/hot-107-1-returns-to-denver-with-chr-flip/), the “Flo” brand and Classic Hip Hop format returned in August 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/211542/hot-107-1-denver-plays-the-wheel-of-formats/) until the closing of the sale to Pillar Media in April.
KFCO had been branding just under the frequency and call letters since having to drop its original “Kingdom 107.1” identity. The station continues to feature longtime Denver personalities Senen ?Slim? Rodriguez in mornings and ?Tony V? Valdez in afternoons.
