Holland joined K295CQ upon its launch (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/261339/foxy-106-9-prepares-to-launch-in-st-louis/) last December. She had begun her career in the mid 90’s as an intern and weekend host at “Majic 108” KMJM and would spend time at KDHX, KSDK-TV and Roberts’ WRBU-TV before rejoining then “Magic 104.9” KMJM in 2004 as morning co-host spending a decade alongside Tony Scott through the station’s 2012 move to 100.3 and flip to Classic Hip Hop “100.3 The Beat” in 2014. She then moved to middays in 2016 upon the station’s flip to Hip Hop until exiting in 2020.
The station shared, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tammie Holland, the beloved co-host of the Real Breakfast Crew on Foxy 106.9. Tammie was a kind, charming, and infectious presence who brought joy to countless listeners. Her signature laugh will be remembered forever. As a media veteran, she touched many lives through her work in radio, TV, acting, and podcasting. Our deepest condolences go out to Tammie’s loved ones. May she rest in peace and continue to inspire us all.” It will dedicate its programming on Monday, July 22 from 8am to 5pm in Holland’s memory playing inspirational songs, memories, and messages from past and present influential people in her life. Program Director Don ‘DJ Wrekk 1’ Williams commented, “We are devastated to lose our dear friend and colleague. Tammie was more than just a talented broadcaster ? she was a kind, compassionate, and generous soul who touched countless lives through her work. In addition to the on-air tribute, we will be working closely with Tammie’s family to provide support during this difficult time. As we remember Tammie’s life and legacy, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created.”
