Angelle spent the past four years at the Lafayette Consolidated Government as Chief Communications Officer and then Deputy Chief of Staff. He previously was the morning anchor for Allen Media Group’s KLAF-TV/KADN-TV from 2017 to 2019 and a reporter for Scripps’ KATC-TV in 2019-2020. Prior to a thirteen year career in the United States Army, Angelle was an Assignment Editor at KATC-TV and a reporter for KVHP-TV Lake Charles.
Angelle fills the opening created by the departure of Tracy Wirtz after just ten months in mornings. Wirtz joined KPEL-FM in September 2023, but left last month to become Communications/Public Relations Specialist for the Lafayette Parish School System. Wirtz has spent much of her career in radio and television in Lafayette including a nine year tracking shifts at Townsquare Lafayette and Lake Charles from 2010 to 2019 while also co-anchoring KATC-TV’s morning newscasts and then KLFY-TV’s evening newscasts.
