Lawson has served as Director of Sales for the cluster since March 2022 after fifteen years with Cox Media Group. During his time with Cox, Lawson served as an account executive in Jacksonville, General Sales Manager and then Station Director/Director of Sales in Athens GA, and Integrated Sales Manager in San Antonio.
Lawson succeeds Scott Souhrada, who has retired after leading the cluster for the past decade. Souhrada moved over to management after a long tenure in programming Rock and Adult Alternative at stations including KBZU and KTZO Albuquerque, KKGL Boise, KYYS Kansas City, KGA and KAEP Spokane, and KATS Yakima.
