After 28 years and a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and some of the best times of my life, I’m leaving radio for the non-profit sector, specifically Volunteers for Youth Justice. This has been on my heart for a long time, and when this opportunity became available, it spoke to me. This is what I need to feed my soul, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Townsquare Media Shreveport, I love my co-workers, especially that damn Gary McCoy, but I have to do this for me. I’ll still be working with my fabulous clients like Shed It On Shed Road and Jerry’s Wholesale Tire Company, etc* and we’re still figuring out the details of what my role will look like going forward, it’ll just be on a part-time basis* So, rest assured, I’m not completely unplugging my headphones. While I’m not sure what the future holds and I have too many people to thank for their support, please know I’m excited, scared, and most of all, ready to wake up again at a decent hour https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png
