The daypart had been vacant since the station dropped its morning show hosted by Dex Mitchell and Candace Kay as part of its deep cuts in January 2022 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/218144/summitmedia-makes-round-of-cuts-mostly-in-honolulu/). Cochino stated, “We?ve been looking to lock in Hawaii for the longest! This is an accomplishment the team and I are extremely excited about.
