WVHK will take on new WVXL call letters with the stations now branding as “WPSK XL“. General Manager Paul Johnson states, “Country is king along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Super-sizing this great station takes it from local to regional.”
WPSK features Compass Media Networks’ “Big D & Bubba” in mornings, Pam Garrison in middays, and cluster Operations Manager James ‘JT’ Forrest in afternoons. The soon-to-be former CHR format carried the XHTZ Tijuana based “Hey Morton!” in mornings, a pair of personalities from sister “Hot 101.9 (https://www.1019hot.com)” WHTE Charlottesville in midday host Kevin Wheeler and afternoon host PJ Styles, and “105.3 The Bear (https://www.1053thebear.com)” WBRW Blacksburg midday host Nate in evenings.
