The duo were first paired together in afternoons at WKXW in 1993. They then moved to Detroit in 1999 to host afternoons at Hot Talk 97.1 WKRK through its iterations as “97.1 FM Talk,” “Live 97.1,” and “97.1 Free-FM“. Following WKRK’s 2007 flip to Sports, they briefly moved to mornings but then sat out a one-year non-compete to move to mornings across town at Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX, but left after only a year. They would then return to their former afternoon shift on WKXW in 2011. Doyle was last heard on the station on Tuesday, May 21.
Deminski and producer Kylie Moore are still listed on the station’s website with Deminski writing web content yesterday, but sister “94.3 The Point (https://943thepoint.com/)” WJLK Asbury Park morning hosts Lou Russo and Michele Pilenza were filling-in the past two afternoons.
