Hernandez has been with Meruleo Media since 2018 first as a part-time mixer for KDAY and Hip Hop “Power 106 (https://power106.com/)” KPWR. He went full-time in 2021 as a music scheduler for KPWR and mixer for both station. He previously served as head of Hip Hop and EDM programming for Dash Radio from 2018-23, Program Director for American General Media Albuquerque in 2016-17, and spent a decoade at Point Broadcasting Oxnard/Ventura CA in multiple roles including hosting mornings at “Q104.7” KCAQ and Assistant Program Director.
Hernandez said, “I grew up listening to KDAY and always dreamed of working here. It’s an honor and a huge responsibility to lead the first Hip-Hop radio station in America. I am a huge fan of the original West Coast sound that was born on KDAY. I am proud to work with this amazing team and KDAY’s strong legacy and vision.”
