Ryan wrote on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7196707846971936768/), “After almost ten years, my time at 1045 the Zone has come to an end. It has been an absolute privilege to work here and I?m beyond thankful for all the opportunities I?ve had. To all our great sponsors and listeners: You have been so supportive to me and I will be forever grateful. Thank you. To the amazing people I got to work with: Thank you for your friendship and support. You are the best! While an offer was extended and wishes expressed for me to stay, I have prayerfully made the decision to seek out my next opportunity, whatever that may be. I?m truly not sure what is next but I know God is with me and will lead me to the right thing.”
Ryan had joined WGFX as afternoon co-host in 2014 after serving as Associate Director of Athletics for Arkansas State University. He and Bishop have been teamed in the early afternoon slot since August 2020 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/195724/104-5-the-zone-revamps-schedule/). He has also been a member of the Tennesse Titans gameday broadcasts for the station since 2016 anchoring their pre and post-game shows.
