The move ends the two year run of “Rock 103.3” on the frequency. W277AP had been part of the Sports brand until its flip to Rock (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/220964/rock-103-3-debuts-in-fort-myers/) in March 2022. The station carries the national Fox Sports Radio lineup outside of a 3-5pm show hosted by David Wasson, Miami Dolphins football and Miami Heat basketball.
The Sports brand had a 0.2 share in the March 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/ft-myers/), while the Rock format goes out with a 0.7.
