The company notes, “This initiative is more than a format change; it?s a celebration of the enduring legacy of Hip-Hop and R&B, which have seen a resurgence in popularity thanks to their timeless appeal and renewed presence on social media platforms. Songs that once defined the youthful experiences of Generation X and Millennials are now being rediscovered by a new generation on TikTok and Instagram Reels, further cementing their status in the music landscape.”
Since acquiring WZOE-FM (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/174043/regional-media-acquires-three-in-princeton-il/) in 2019, the station has now flipped from Classic Hits to CHR to Rock to Classic Hip Hop.
