All but one on-air host has departed their Farmington/Festus cluster of Country “J98 (https://www.mymoinfo.com/stations/j-98-the-boot/)” KTJJ and talkers 800 KREI (https://www.mymoinfo.com/stations/am-800-krei/) and 1400 KJFF (https://www.mymoinfo.com/stations/kjff/).
Among the exits there are KTJJ morning host Mark Toti and KREI morning host Louie Seiberlich. Toti had been with the stations since 1983 and previously spent time as News Director, Sports Director and had a 15 year run as Program Director. Seiberlich spent 46 years at KREI.
The Moberly cluster of Christian AC “Glory 97.3 (https://www.centralmoinfo.com/stations/glory-97-3/)” KTCM, Classic Hits “99.9 The Captain (https://www.centralmoinfo.com/stations/the-captain/)” KIRK, Country 104.7 KRES (https://www.centralmoinfo.com/stations/104-7-kres/), and News/Talk 1230 KWIX (https://www.centralmoinfo.com/stations/kwix-92-5fm-1230am/)/92.5 KWIX-FM was also hit hard with unconfirmed reports stating that the entire content team was let go.
Among them, Brad Boyer most recently served as cluster Content Director during a 38 year run at the cluster writing (https://twitter.com/BradBoyerKRES/status/1788036431400563096), “I went from a college student to a grandpa in one work place! Thank you KWIX-KRES-KIRK-KTCM listeners for making this the greatest job. Not enough characters to list everything. Jeremiah tells me God knows His plan for my life. I am blessed! Festus office Station Manager Kirk Mooney tried to dispel local rumors that the stations were completely shutting down. Mooney wrote (https://www.facebook.com/kirk.mooney.58/posts/pfbid02pQArgLjPj1evtUBt24wkxrm2TcNqD3TuY2qMyfjswPG DfnfswgXkTxJA3QQq2Bgnl), “I am so very moved and touched by all the comments below..but please just know that KJFF1400AM & KTJJ Radio “The Boot” 98.5 FM are still here to serve the Jefferson County and surrounding Counties 24 hours a day with Compelling Talk Shows on KJFF and Great American Country Music on J98.5 and all the local commercials you’ve come to hear and expect from area businesses and community events *and all the Digital/ Video Products available that any size business needs to communicate their message to the widest audience imaginable!! Thank you once again for all your support!!.”
