Walker, who has been hosting 9am to 12pm since 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/207851/melissa-mcgurren-austin-huff-to-host-mornings-at-us99/), joined WUSN in 2004 and rose through the ranks from weekends to fill-ins to full-time with a long run in afternoons before shifting to middays. He also spent nearly a year as interim morning host in 2020/21. Prior to joining WUSN, he hosted weekends at Hot AC “99.1 The Mix” WMYX Milwaukee and worked at a few suburban Chicago stations.
Walker wrote, “Why now? It’s time for a change. What’s next? I’m not allowed to say just yet but I am very, very excited about my future right here in Chicago. I promise that when I get the green light to talk about it, you’ll be the first to know and it is GOOD!”
