https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2024/04/buckycountry-200x200.jpgMagnum Media has completed the move of “Bucky Country (https://www.buckycountry.com)” 95.9 WBKY from Portage WI to Stoughton where it will now cover the Janesville market and has added translator coverage on 99.5 W258CM Madison fed by 107.3 WSJY-HD4 Fort Atkinson.
Owner David Magnum says the move to Stoughton started twenty one years ago stating, “My two sons, Reid and Ty, were just lads when we started this process. Whenever we reminisce about the umpteen Town and County zoning meetings and hearings, we make sure to have a stout beer in hand.? The company noted that the combination of the two analog signals provides in-car coverage from Arlington to Beloit.
With the move from Portage (where it also served Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells) to Stoughton, the station creates a new Janesville Country competitor to CMC Media’s 104.5 WSLD (https://www.1045wsld.com) and the translator becomes the third Country signal in Madison joining iHeartMedia’s “96.3 Star Country (https://963starcountry.iheart.com)” WMAD and Mid-West Family Broadcasting’s “Q106 (https://www.q106.com)” WWQM. The translator had been rebroadcasting 107.3 WSJY’s (https://1073wsjy.com) primary AC format.
