Nielsen will drop the continuously measured Greenville/New Bern/Jacksonville NC (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/eastern-nc/) (market #99), and twice yearly measured Visalia/Tulare/Hanford CA (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/visalia/) (market #109) and Sunbury/Selinsgrove/Lewisburg PA (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/sunbury/) (market #215) starting with the beginning of the Spring 2024 survey yesterday. Each market was down to one subscribing commercial cluster.
However, Eastlan Ratings will begin measuring Greenville/New Bern/Jacksonville as well as provide a competing measurement in Albany GA starting with their April surveys. Eastlan states that their launch in eastern North Carolina predated Nielsens announcement exiting the market.
Eastlan will also move Waco TX (https://radioinsight.com/eastlan-ratings/waco/) from annual measurements to monthly starting with the on-going March survey and recently began service in Raleigh NC (https://radioinsight.com/eastlan-ratings/raleigh/).
Eastlan President Mike Gould stated, ?Time moves so quickly, we are grateful to have been entrusted for a quarter century to provide a complete and unbiased look at how radio is used in markets across North America. When we founded Eastlan in 1999, I don?t think any of us expected to still be growing 25 years later. We owe our success to our fantastically loyal staff and media buyers across the country demanding a comprehensive view of the radio landscape before they invest. Most of all, to local broadcasters insistent upon credible research at an equitable price.?
