Roger Bouldin’s Bouldin Radio sells Country 1570 WSWV (http://wswv.net)/101.9 W270CB Pennington Gap VA to Jason Stidham’s Cumberland Broadcasting for $15,000. WSWV retained the programming that had been heard on 105.5 WSWV-FM until the closing of its sale to Educational Media Foundation earlier this month. That station is now “K-Love” WLGY.
Jonathan Ellerbe is increasing his stake in Pirate Media Group from 37.5% to 80% by purchasing the shares held by Troy Dreyfus, Lee Dreyfus, and Eleven Two Investments LLC. Ellerbee will acquire Troy Dreyfus’ 37.5% stake for $75,000 and Lee Dreyfus and Eleven Two Investments’ 2.5% stakes each for $5,000. Six other individuals will retain 2.5% stakes each. Pirate Media Group owns Sports “Pirate Radio (https://thevoiceofthepiratenation.com)” 930 WDLX/104.1 W281CH Washington NC and 1250 WGHB Farmville/92.7 W223EI Greenville NC.
Educational Media Foundation purchases Classic Hits 96.7 WFFF-FM (https://www.wfffam.com) Columbia MS from Haddox Enterprises for $250,000. The seller retains Classic Country 1360 WFFF/93.9 W230CS Columbia.
La Promesa Foundation acquires 1140 KHFX/101.5 K268DQ Cleburne TX from Siga Broadcasting for $1.1 million. $!50,000 of which can be designated as a tax donation in 2024 or 2025. The deal includes the station’s 35.6 acre property. The deal gives the “Guadalupe Radio Network (https://www.grnonline.com/en/)” Catholic operator its third property in the Dallas/Fort Worth market joining north suburban 850 KJON Carrollton and 910 KATH Frisco, which are leased from Chatham Hill Foundation with KJON carrying its Spanish network and KATH its English. KHFX covers the southwestern portion of the market.
Translator SalesGow Translators purchases 92.5 K223CW Houston from SDK Franco for $1.1 million. The translator had been mostly rebroadcasting Gow Media Sports “ESPN 97.5 (https://www.espn975.com)” KFNC Mont Belvieu along with some translator specific programming via a supposed non-existent HD subchannel of KFNC. The sale notes that the translator will rebroadcast Siga Broadcasting’s Tjano 1540 KGBC Galveston.
VCY America will purchase 91.5 W218CC Wausau WI from Radio By Grace for $28,000. W218CC will be utilized to rebroadcast VCY’s 88.9 WVRN Wittenburg WI.
