Host Jerry Broadway relocated to Pittsburgh (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/251542/broadway-friends-to-relocate-to-y108-pittsburgh/) last April with WDSY becoming the flagship station for the show. At some point in January, Broadway began hosting a Pittsburgh specific show sans he syndicated co-hosts before disappearing from the station. The last reference to him on the station was a Facebook post (https://www.facebook.com/Y108Pittsburgh/posts/pfbid0vPrU3nF3672YboJxGexgntPutZiFDR7b3spuEVs8QmML 9U316KMypdYKYRXQobUEl) on January 24 noting that he was “out sick”.
Since then sister “93.7 The Fan” KDKA-FM producer and host Cale Berger has been hosting mornings with rotating Audacy Pittsburgh staffers including account executive Amanda Gorecki, WDSY weekend host Julie ‘Julez’ Zarnick, and 1020 KDKA contributor Suzie Cool. Audacy also has a job posting for a WDSY morning co-host (https://careers-audacy.icims.com/jobs/6500/wdsy-morning-show-co-host-%28full-time%29/job).
Broadway told Country Aircheck (https://www.countryaircheck.com), “We were given an offer to extend our stay, and we appreciate the confidence they have in us ? the Audacy/Pittsburgh team are marvelous people. However, we have made the difficult decision to move in another direction. I want to thank everyone at Audacy for their professionalism and support.”
