https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2024/02/kensington-200x200.jpgRobert Holladay’s Alabama Media is selling its four stations in Dothan AL to ‘Tony Richards’ Didier’s Kensington Digital Media Alabama (https://www.kensington.media) for $1.25 million.
Kensington will acquire Adult R&B “Magic 93.1 (https://mymagic93.com)” WBBK-FM Blakely GA, “Rock 100.5 (https://rockofdothan.com)” WJRL-FM Slocomb, Classic Hits “102.5 The Q (https://1025theq.com)” WESP Dothan, and Country “B105.3 (https://b1053.com)” WECB Headland AL. The deal also includes the two tower properties utilized by the stations.
Kensington Digital Media currently owns Classic Hits “Hippie Radio 94.5 (https://www.hippieradio945.com)” WHPY-FM Bellevue, Variety Hits 1010 WHIN (https://www.whinradio.com)/100.7 W264CR/107.9 W300EA Gallatin, and Silent 1430 WYGI Madison in suburban Nashville and three stations in Warsaw IN. Prior to moving into station ownership, Richards was a longtime host and programmer of 97.3 WMEE Fort Wayne IN before rising to General Manager in 1991 and Chief Operating Office of Federated Media from 1999 until 2017. He also developed the syndicated “Hippie Radio” format.
Halladay recently announced the sale of his properties in the Florida Keys (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/263901/florida-keys-media-sells-stations-in-two-deals/). His “The Radio People” also owns stations in Monroe LA and Vicksburg MS, and he owns a 20% stake in New South Radio/Digio Strategies’ Jackson MS cluster primarily owned by his brother Clay Holladay.
