Natalie Jansen comes to WIXX from Milwaukee where she was working in sales for Saga Communications. She was formerly “Rock Girl” and also hosted weekends on Rock “102.9 The Hog (https://1029thehog.com/)” WHQG. Jansen also previously starred on VH1’s Dating Naked in 2016.
The duo complete the carousel of morning show changes at WIXX since the October retirement (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/259454/jim-murphy-to-retire-from-wixx-after-32-year-run/) of Jim Murphy after 32 years. Murphy’s co-hosts Katie Schurk and Nick Vitrano departed in early December and will join (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/262944/katie-schurk-nick-vitrano-to-join-otis-day-in-mornings-at-wksz/) Woodward Community Media?s crosstown “95.9 Kiss-FM (https://www.959kissfm.com)” WKSZ following the completion of their non-competes. WIXX then hired Chris Carson (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/262192/wixx-debuts-carson-in-the-morning/) as morning host in December, only to cut ties with him less than a month later (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/263282/chris-carson-exits-wixx-mornings-after-less-than-one-month/).
