From Radio Insight:

https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2020/07/knbr-200x200.pngAfter a round of layoffs (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/261641/knbr-cuts-multiple-staffers/) at the end of November that saw Cumulus Media Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM (https://www.knbr.com) San Francisco end its evening local talkshow, the station has reversed course and will debut “Sportsphone KNBR” in the 6-9pm timeslot on Tuesday, January 16.
A host is to-be-determined as the show returns to a variation of the heritage “Sportsphone 680” brand that was used on the station from 1972 until 2019 when it was rebranded as “KNBR Tonight” following the addition of the 104.5 simulcast. The most recent host in the timeslot, former San Francisco Giant F.P. Santangelo, has been serving in a fill-in role at Audacy’s “95.7 The Game (https://www.audacy.com/957thegame)” KGMZ.
The station will continue to feature John Dickinson’s “Dubs OT” following Golden State Warriors games.
