Launching after stunting with snippets of 80s and 90s songs, the new brand is positioning as “East Texas’ Number One Place For Fun”. The first songs heard on the new format were Bangles “Walk Like An Egyptian”, Prince “1999”, and Whitney Houston “I Want To Dance With Somebody”.
KVLL-FM has gone through a series of formats over the past few years going from AC “My 94.7” to Regional Mexican “La Mejor” in February 2020 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/184419/townsquare-launches-la-mejor-94-7-in-lufkin/) and then to “Juan 94.7” in June 2022 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/233650/townsquare-launches-another-juan/).
