https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2023/12/randyrundle-200x166.jpgRandy Rundle will retire from his Brand Manager/morning host roles at Midwest Communications AC “Mix 106.9 (https://www.mix1069.com)” WSWT Peoria IL on Friday, December 29.
Rundle will conclude his 52 year radio career. He has been with WSWT in those roles since 1990 after a previous stint from 1984 to 1987. He also served as Operations Manager for the cluster from 1990 until 2019. Rundle oversaw the station’s rebrand (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/91304/a-new-mix-for-peoria/) from “Lite Rock 107” to “Mix 106.9” in December 2014. Rundle also served as OM at 1430 WIRE/93.9 WXTZ Indianapolis from 1987-1990 and has worked at WZOE Princeton IL and WGSY.
Co-host Shelli Dankoff will also depart the station after four years. Dankoff told listeners that she only stayed with what was supposed to be a temporary fill-in position because of Rundle as she also has a full time job.
Bill Fox, Brand Manager/morning host at Country “104.9 The Wolf (https://www.1049thewolf.com)” WXCL Pekin, will succeed Rundle and Dankoff at WSWT starting Monday, January 8 and assume the Brand Manager duties. Mike ‘Stetch’ Stechman, who hosts middays at WXCL and afternoons at Classic Hits “93.3 The Drive (https://www.933thedrive.com)” WPBG will take over mornings on The Wolf..
