The National Black Radio Hall of Fame is headquartered in St. Louis, MO, at Harris-Stowe State University?s Vashon Center. The President and Founder is Bernie Hayes, a St. Louis radio living legend, who broke many barriers in radio. He started his radio career in 1950. Established as a nonprofit organization, the National Black Radio Hall of Fame serves as a beacon of knowledge and appreciation for the history and achievements of Black Radio nationally. This esteemed Hall of Fame was created in response to the historical underrepresentation of Black professionals who have played a crucial and influential role in the evolution of national radio. It stands as a testament to their enduring legacy and their profound impact on the industry.
To nominate a deserving individual, please visit our website at www.nbrhof.org (http://www.nbrhof.org). We encourage nominations that reflect the breadth and diversity of talent and contributions within the Black radio community.
We look forward to receiving your nominations and continuing its mission of honoring the luminaries of Black radio. Together, we can ensure that the voices and stories that have shaped the landscape of American radio are remembered and celebrated for generations to come.
