From Radio Insight:
https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2020/05/fccseal2020-200x200.pngThe FCC is extending the currently ongoing LPFM filing window to now run until 12:00pm eastern on Friday, December 15.
Originally scheduled for November 1-8 but then delayed to run (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/260046/fcc-delays-lpfm-filing-window/) from December 6 until 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 13, the current extension comes after some groups discovered a security flaw that allowed some of the first applications filed in the window to have their filing information viewed by outside parties. That led the FCC to have unscheduled maintenance of the LMS on Thursday evening.
The freeze on modifications of existing LPFM and translator applications will be lifted at 12:01am on Monday, December 18. That freeze has been in place since September 1.
