England has spent her entire career with the Cumulus and previously Susquehanna cluster starting as an intern. She would join “96 Rock” when it launched in 2007 and co-hosted mornings as ‘Mistress Bridget’ with Michael ‘Fin’ Walter until 2014 when the show was replaced by syndication. After a stint in middays, she would return to mornings with former evening host JD in July 2015 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/93636/96-rock-cincinnati-goes-local-in-mornings/) and will continue in that role along with her new duties.
Emgland succeeds Steve Dent, who exited as Program Director of WFTK and sister Classic Rock “92.5 The Fox (https://www.foxcincinnati.com)” WOFX-FM in October. Dent also hosted afternoons at WFTK.
Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has promoted Bridget England to Program Director of 96 Rock/WFTK-FM in Cincinnati. England has been heard on 96 Rock?s morning show for the past 12 years and will continue to host mornings for the station, in addition to her new role.
