Zucker has served as General Manager of the stations since 2014 and will own 90% of the new company, with Operations Manager Duty holding a 10% stake. The Australian based Resonate Hawaii will retain its other two stations on the island of Hawaii in Hot AC simulcast “The Wave (https://listen.streamon.fm/khbc)” 92.7 KHBC Hilo and 92.1 KHWI Holualoa. A Time Brokerage Agreement for the buyers will take effect on January 1, 2024.
Ed Perry’s Marshfield Broadcasting Company sells 1460 WBMS/101.1 W266DA Brockton MA to Beatrice Innocent Cesar’s Fraternity Broadcasting Group for $350,000. The buyer owns no other stations, but her husband Gerlens Cesar had entered a Consent Decree with the FCC paying a $5000 penalty after originally being issued a $453,015 fine in 2019 for operating pirates on 90.1 in Boston and 92.1 in Brockton and Malden MA as Haitian “Radio TeleBoston“. Marshfield will retain Variety 95.9 WATD-FM (https://959watd.com) Marshfield. WBMS mostly simulcasts (https://959watd.com/101-1-fm-1460-am-wbms-brockton-metro-south/) WATD-FM currently.
WVRC Audio is exercising its option to reacquire Country “3WS Lake Country 95.7 (https://3ws957.com)” WSWW-FM Craigsville WV from AJG Corporation for $75,000. WVRC Audio had sold WSWW-FM to AJG in 2017 for $72,000 and has continued to operate the station via Time Brokerage Agreement for $4900 per-month.
