No further details were revealed. In a press statement, Rosenworcel said, ?There?s something special about when you hear a local voice on the airwaves or see a familiar face on your television set in the evening. Over time we?ve come to trust those voices and they provide an important service to these communities. We want to recognize that dedication when it comes time for license renewals and transactions and this proposal does just that.?
License CancellationsEastern Oregon University has requested that the FCC overturn its request last month to surrender the license of 91.7 KEOL La Grande OR.
BAS Broadcasting has turned in the license of 1300 WMVO Mount Vernon OH. WMVO went silent in May after operating at low power since 2019 due to technical issues with a nearby tower.
