GEOS Communications has rebranded Spanish CHR “Hola Radio” heard on 730 WAZL Nanticoke, 94.9 W235DC Dickson City/Scranton, 95.3 W237DP Mountaintop/Wilkes-Barre, and 99.5 W258DJ Hazleton as “Ritmo FM (https://holaradio1001fm.com)“. The station launched in Hazleton in June and was added in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/259968/after-mega-move-hola-radio-grows-in-northeast-pennsylvania/) last month following the end of GEOS’ LMA of the translators to Jonathan Alcantara.
Alcantara took his “Mega 95” brand that he was leasing time to operate to Audacy where it now operates as “Mega 102.3 (https://www.audacy.com/lamega1023)” WLMZ-FM Pittston/1300 WLMZ West Hazleton. GEOS has also announced the hiring of his ex-wife, Barbara Morales as General Manager and midday host at “Ritmo-FM“. Morales previous served as Sales Manager for Mega 95 and held on-air and other roles at stations in Hartford and Springfield MA.
