Based at CHR “103.7 The Q (https://1037theq.iheart.com)” WQEN Birmingham and hosted by Amber ‘Alabama’ Cole, WEGR becomes the first affiliate of the show not in the state of Alabama. Cole joined WQEN in April 2021 and was added at iHeart CHR’s 94.1 WZBQ (https://941zbq.iheart.com) Tuscaloosa and ?106.5 Kiss-FM (https://1065kissfm.iheart.com)? Cole previously was part of the Carla Marie & Anthony Show at iHeartMedia?s ?106.1 Kiss-FM? KBKS Seattle and has also hosted afternoons and mornings at Country ?Big 95.5? WEBG Chicago, MD/afternoon host at ?Now 105.3? WNOH Norfolk and was on-air at ?Now 97.5? WJIM-FM Lansing.
The expansion to Memphis follows the departure of co-host Gerald ?DJ New Era? Knight from the show last month. DJ New Era joined the Alabama Show in July 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/211105/wqen-fully-unveils-alabama-in-the-morning/) after serving as a mixer for iHeart’s ?104.1 The Beat?
