NCPR will begin operating WNYV via LMA on Monday, November 13 moving its programming in Glens Falls from its 38 watt translator to the 3kW Class A FM. Based at 89.5 WSLU Canton NY, North Country Public Radio is currently heard on fifteen full-powered stations and eighteen translators across upstate New York and parts of Vermont.
Loud Media intends to build out W247BJ’s CP to move southward on 97.3 where it will be utilized to rebroadcast their Classic Hits “Star Radio (https://www.starsaratoga.com)” 1160 WSSV Mechanicville/93.3 W227DW Saratoga Springs.
Loud Media is pleased to announce that they have come to an agreement with St. Lawrence University doing business as North Country Public Radio to sell WNYV FM, Whitehall NY and acquire W247BJ Glens Falls NY.
The transaction is subject to FCC approval and both parties expected to close in Q1 2024, North Country Public Radio will begin to operate WNYV on November 13, 2023 via Local Marketing Agreement.
