A longtime Spanish language programmer and consultant, Melendez previously programmed TSJ Media’s network of stations in Ohio and Michigan from 2012-19 and was involved in the operations of multiple stations in the Houston area.
The new format takes the place of David Reese’s Dance ?100.9 NRG (https://1009nrg.com)? after it ceased broadcasting in September (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/259299/nrg-signs-off-in-palm-springs/). It creates a direct format competitor to News-Press & Gazette Company’s market leading “La Poderosa 96.7 (https://kesq.com/la-poderosa/)” KUNA-FM Indio.
