EMF will acquire 100.9 WJXN-FM Utica/Jackson and 96.1 WIVG Tunica from Flinn for $550,000. Both stations began running EMF’s Contemporary Worship “Air 1 (https://www.air1.com)” network in January after previous LMA’s came to an end. WJXN-FM had been Variety Hits “100.9 Jack-FM” under the operation (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/246790/jack-departs-jackson/) of Alpha Media through the end of 2022 despite 93.9 WJAI Pearl also running the network. WIVG, which rimshots parts of the Memphis TN market, joined 96.7 W244BY Memphis, replacing (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/247387/air-1-expands-in-memphis-as-drake-fm-moves-online/) Classic Rock “Drake-FM” operated by longtime Memphis morning personality Drake Hall.
