Jonathan A Mason Sr.’s company, which owns stations in Muscatine IA and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, filed for bankruptcy protection in New Jersey in October 2022 claiming assets valued between $100,001 and $500,000 and liabilities between $1 million and $10 million. Among the broadcast related creditors owed are BMI, Broadcast Electronics, Global Music Rights, Crown Castle, Max Media, Motor Racing Network, Music Master, Radio Music License Committee, SESAC, Soundexchange, and WPW Broadcasting.
Mason launched JAM Media Solutions in 2015 as a media planning and buying agency. He previously spent eight years at Cumulus Media?s New York City cluster where he rose to General Sales Manager for 770 WABC and Adult R&B ?Radio 103.9? WNBM. Mason also spent time at Cox Media Group?s Long Island cluster as National Sales Manager and with CBS Radio. In June 2018, the company acquired four stations in the Outer Banks for a combined $1.85 million purchasing Country “Big 94.5 (https://big945.com)” WCMS Hatteras and Hot AC ?Beach 104 (https://beach104.com)? 104.1 WCXL Kill Devil Hills from Max Media and Rock “Z92.3 (https://z923online.com)” WZPR Nags Head and AAA ?99.1 The Sound (https://991thesound.com)? WVOD Manteo from Hengooch LLC along with Max Media’s stake in OBXToday.com (https://www.obxtoday.com). It also acquired WPW Broadcasting?s 93.1 KMCS (https://931thebuzz.com) and 860 KWPC (https://kwpconline.com)/95.1 K236CF Muscatine IA for $965,000.
Through the separately owned JAM Jack Media, Mason operates Gospel “Philly’s Favor 100.7 (https://phillysfavor.com)” W264BH Mount Holly NJ (currently with no originating parent signal).
