The station is now positioning as “Totally 80s and 90s” with the syndicated Murphy, Sam & Jodi in mornings. Cluster Production Director Gary Michaels hosts middays and Operations Manager Scott Staley anchors afternoons.
KGJX had rebranded from “Redrock 101.5” to “Junkyard” in April 2019 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/176002/kgjx-rebrands-as-the-junkyard/) when it moved to a locally originated playlist. It began shifting its playlist towards Classic Hits in the spring of 2020 and then rebranded as “Junction 101.5“.
